Beilby Fine Arts: September 2010

The Photographic Society of NorthWest Arkansas paid a visit to the Arkansas Air Museum Sunday morning. We were able to get into the museum a couple of hours before it was actually open so we only had to cope with eachother getting in our shots. The weather was dark outside so it was a good test of the K 7's ability to deal with mixed lighting. I decided to experiment with the HDR function so these shots are a mix of some straight and some HDR's.

Sam Walton's Ercoupe Model 415-C. This two-seater aircraft was the first one that Sam Walton bought. He bought it in April, 1954 and kept it until September, 1956 and travelled over a three-state area. He found out it was easier to visit locations, such as prospective store sites, when he could do it in a straight line at 100 miles per hour, instead of driving through the Ozarks at 50-60 miles per hour.
